Alton, Iowa — A 61-year-old man was taken to the hospital following a collision between his motorcycle and a pickup truck late Tuesday afternoon near Alton.

Sioux County authorities report that about 5:40 Tuesday afternoon a 1997 Dodge Ram pickup, driven by 68-year-old Dennis Gergen, of Alton, was southbound on Kingbird Avenue, two miles east of Alton, and 61-year-old Daniel Zevenbergan was eastbound on Highway 60, driving a 2002 Kawasaki Vulcan Motorcycle.
