Search Warrant Leads To Felony, Misdemeanor Charges

George, Iowa — A George teen, along with a minor, was arrested on a litany of charges in the wake of a search warrant execution at a George residence.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports that their deputies executed a search warrant early Tuesday afternoon (November 19th) at a residence on West Indiana Street in George. As the result of that search warrant, authorities say they arrested 19-year-old Walker Hollenbeck, along with a juvenile.

Court records indicate that deputies located paraphernalia for both marijuana and methamphetamine during their search. Court records say the search also turned up a single-barrel shotgun. Authorities say that, as a felon, Hollenbeck is banned from possessing firearms.

Court documents indicate that Hollenbeck was taken to jail on misdemeanor charges of Marijuana and Methamphetamine Paraphernalia Possession, and a felony  charge of Being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

Court records show that during the logging of the evidence into the evidence room at the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, deputies located a bag of methamphetamine stuffed inside one of the meth pipes, which resulted in a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth) 2nd Offense, which is an aggravated misdemeanor.

Deputies say the juvenile was charged with possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia, and was released to the custody of a family member.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office was reportedly assisted by the Iowa Department of Corrections.
