Sheldon Convenience Store Clerk Faces Felony Theft Charge

Sheldon, Iowa — An employee of Casey’s East in Sheldon has been arrested on a warrant charging him with felony theft.

Court documents say that early on the evening of Saturday, November 21st, Casey’s employee 31-year-old Daniel Eugene Wetherell allegedly took nearly $2,400 in cash from the business’ cash bag.

Online court records say the charges against Wetherell was filed on December 28th and a warrant for his arrest was issued December 29th. He was taken into custody on December 31st.

Wetherell is charged with Theft in the 2nd Degree, which is a Class D Felony, in connection with the incident.
