Sioux City Man Arrested In Connection With Sioux County Residential Burglaries

Sioux County, Iowa — A Sioux City man was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon in connection with a pair of residential burglaries.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, the arrest of 42-year-old Kelly Scofield stemmed from a report of a burglary from a residential garage in Hospers and another residential property in Granville.

Deputies say their investigation led to two counts of 3rd Degree Burglary and one count of 2nd Degree Theft, both of which are Class D Felonies, as well as one count of Trespassing, which is a Simple Misdemeanor.

Scofield is accused of making off with a go-cart, radio-controlled cars, a dirt bike and other miscellaneous property from the two locations. Deputies say the total value of the property was approximately $7,000.
