Woman Jailed On Multiple Sheldon, O’Brien County Charges

Sheldon, Iowa — A 29-year old Le Mars woman has been arrested on multiple felony warrants issued by both the Sheldon Police Department, and the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office Arrest Log, Alyssa Renae LePaige-Schulz was taken into custody at the Sioux County Jail, by an O’Brien County Deputy on Tuesday of this week.

The first warrant for LePaige-Schulz’s arrest was issued by the Sheldon Police Department early last year following an investigation into a car theft from Sheldon, according to Sheldon Police. The 2nd Degree Theft charge for which the warrant was issued is a Class D Felony. Authorities say a vehicle was reported stolen from 6th Avenue in Sheldon on January 21, 2017. Cops say the car was recovered five days later in Bowling Green, Kentucky. According to Sheldon authorities, their investigation led to the arrest warrant accusing LePaige-Schulz of stealing the vehicle.

The other two warrants were, according to the O’Brien County Jail Log, for Contempt for failure to pay a fine or costs, and another for a Probation Violation. According to online court records, the charges are in connection with an Identity Theft case dating back to 2015.

Authorities say LePaige-Schulz was taken to the O’Brien County Jail in Primghar following her arrest.
