Northwest Iowa — A Freeze Warning that had been issued for northwest Iowa for early tomorrow has now been downgraded to a Frost Advisory by the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls.
The forecast cold weather that prompted the Frost Advisory may still cause damage to sensitive plants. You may want to operate on the side of caution and cover any sensitive plants that you may have outside before you go to bed tonight to protect them against the forecast temperatures that prompted this Frost Advisory.

Northwest Iowa — A Freeze Warning has been issued for northwest Iowa from 3:00 am Saturday to 9:00 am Saturday.
The National Weather Service says clear skies and light winds will allow temperatures to fall to between 29 and 32 degrees for a couple of hours early Saturday morning. They say the coldest readings will likely be found in valleys and other sheltered areas.
They say sub-freezing temperatures may lead to damage to sensitive plants if left exposed to the elements.
According to the National Weather Service, a Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. They say these conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
Those who have planted a bit early this Spring, will want to take those extra precautions and protect any sensitive vegetation. Thankfully, we’re not anticipating extremely cold temperatures or a long duration of sub-freezing temperatures. So plant damage in general should be limited.
