Northwest Iowa — Seven new cases of COVID-19 were reported in the four-county area on Sunday, according to the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Of the seven new cases of COVID-19 reported Sunday: five were in Sioux County; two in Lyon County. There were no new cases reported in O’Brien or Osceola counties.
No new deaths were reported Sunday, so the total number of fatalities from the four-county area, since the pandemic began, remains at 153: 61 in Sioux County; 54 in O’Brien County; 34 in Lyon; and 12 in Osceola County.
Of the 1,396 Lyon County residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, 1,245 have recovered, for a recovery rate of about 89%.
Of the 4,628 Sioux County residents who have tested positive, 4,327 have recovered, for a rate of about 93%.
Of the 1,724 O’Brien County residents to test positive, 1,558 have recovered, for a rate of about 90%.
Of the 653 Osceola County residents who have tested positive for COVID-19, 607 have recovered, for a rate of about 93%.
