“A Hometown Christmas” Will Be Performed Saturday Night

old-time radioSheldon, Iowa — Something that’s never before been done in northwest Iowa will happen this Saturday night, December 12th in Sheldon.

The Jay Shelp Community Theatre will be performing an original old-time radio style play, featuring scripts, actors and musicians from the Sheldon area.

Steve De Kok, from Jay Shelp Community Theatre, tells us what to expect.

De Kok says Saturday’s production will be similar to a familiar and long-running radio show.

He talks about what you’ll see and hear when attending “A Hometown Christmas”.

In addition, De Kok says the show will feature music from Sheldon Christian School students, as well as members of the Sheldon High School Choir, plus much more.

Tickets for Saturday night’s show will be $5 each, or $20 for a family of 4 or more, and will be sold at the door.  The play will be performed at the Sheldon United Methodist Church, with doors opening at 6:30 Saturday evening, with the show starting at 7:00.  It will also be broadcast, live, on KIWA-FM, 105.3.
