Almost $13,000 Still To Be Raised To Meet United Fund Goal

Sheldon, Iowa — Donations to the 2017 Sheldon United Fund continue to come in.

The drive continues through the rest of the year. The goal this year is $31,000.

The fund drive is now 54% finished. The funds are at about 58% of goal, at $18,089. Almost $13,000 has yet to be raised. To finish on goal, the drive now needs to average about $2200 per week through the rest of the year. In the last week, donors gave $1675.

Contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be left at five locations in Sheldon: Citizen’s State Bank, Iowa State Bank, Northstar Community Credit Union, Northwestern Bank, and Peoples Bank, or you can also send them to PO Box 41, Sheldon, IA 51201. Explanations of the organizations are also available at the dropoff points.

Each week we’re mentioning a few of the organizations that can benefit from your donations. This time the list includes:

·Family Crisis Center of Northwest Iowa
·Foster Grandparent Program
·Sheldon Girl Scouts
·His Little Ones Preschool

The United Fund will be assisting 26 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year, and they thank you for your contribution.
