Annual Prairie Arts Historical Halloween Carnival Is Saturday

Sheldon, Iowa — It’s time for the annual Halloween Carnival at the Prairie Arts Historical Park — the historic schoolhouses on the north side of Highway 18 in Sheldon.

Karin Vanden Berg is one of the people who work hard organizing the festivities every year. She tells us what’s in store this Saturday, October 25th.

Vanden Berg says there are a lot of new games this year, along with some old favorites.

She tells us the games are all completely free, thanks to the donations of many generous people. She says the only thing that costs money are items from the concession stand, and your choices are plentiful and not expensive, she says.

According to Vanden Berg, proceeds from the concession stand will go to the Prairie Arts Council as a fundraiser. She says to be sure to have your kids wear appropriate fall outerwear, as it is an outdoor event. No pets are allowed. Again, it’s this Saturday, October 25th from noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Prairie Arts Historical Park — the historic schoolhouses on Highway 18 in Sheldon.
