Ashton, Iowa — An Ashton woman has been sentenced to prison by the Iowa District Court in Woodbury County.
26-year-old Nikarra Ashlyn Macmain was sentenced to five-years in prison by District Court Judge Patrick Tott, as part of a plea agreement. According to online court records, Macmain had been charged with ten counts of forgery or theft of a lottery ticket. In consideration of her guilty plea, eight of the charges were dismissed, and she plead guilty to two counts of forgery or theft of a lottery ticket.
According to court records, Macmain’s five-year sentence in the Woodbury County case is to run consecutively to other sentences she has received for crimes in Clay, Dickinson and Palo Alto Counties.
