Orange City — Beef consumers want a quality, uniform product, and they want to know more than ever before about how it’s raised. That’s what beef producers are attempting to provide for them, and that’s what Beef Quality Assurance — or BQA — is all about. There’s a seminar all about it coming up in Orange City.
We talked to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Beef Field Specialist Beth Doran about it, and she breaks it down for us.
She tells us what producers can expect if they come to the free BQA seminar.
The Beef Quality Assurance Workshop is on Tuesday, August 29th at the Sioux County Extension Office in downtown Orange City. The free workshop runs from 10 a.m. to noon, and they’d like you to pre-register at least a day in advance by calling the extension office at 712-737-4230.
