Orange City, Iowa — Seasons Center For Behavioral Health will be hosting a rally in support of Child Abuse Awareness Month on Wednesday of this week. Northwest Iowa Law Enforcement, DHS offices, county attorneys, County Board of Supervisors, area Senators and Representatives, as well sa Governor Branstad and Lieutenant Governor Reynolds have all been invited to participate.
Seasons has partnered with the Phil and Jen Elgersma family from Orange City, to honor and memorialize their three-year-old daughter, Autumn, who died at the hands of her babysitter.
Wednesday’s rally will be at the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office in Orange City at 10:00 am. The rally will be a time to reflect on victims of child abuse and what communities can do to prevent it.
