UPDATE: City Council Narrows City Manager Field To Five

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council met on September 12th to review applications for its open City Manager position and to identify finalists to invite to Sheldon for in-person interviews.  Five candidates have been invited to Sheldon for formal interviews on October 5-6, according to Sheldon Mayor Katricia Meendering.

Meendering says Sheldon received 24 applications for the position from 16 states.  The highly qualified applicant pool included 20 candidates with Master’s degrees or higher.  Meendering says the Council is very pleased with the quality of the candidates that applied for the position, and they are especially excited with the five candidates that have been invited to Sheldon to interview.

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council met in closed session Wednesday to review and evaluate the applications that have been received for the City Manager position. After going into open session, the council voted to schedule interviews with five individuals. October 5th and 6th has been designated as the interview weekend.
