Communities To Get Free Paint From Orange City’s Diamond Vogel

Orange City, Iowa — Several area communities will be getting free paint to help spruce up facilities. It’s made possible by the “Paint Iowa Beautiful” program, a partnership involving Diamond Vogel Paint in Orange City and Keep Iowa Beautiful.

Entities in our area receiving free paint were:

  • The Alton Public Library for a project on the main floor of the library
  • The Hawarden Historical Society for Calliope Village – for paint on the exteriors of the McNally Veterans Museum and the Shoemaker/Wasser Museum
  • The Paullina American Legion for exterior paint
  • The Sibley Housing and Development Corporation for paint for the shelter houses and storage buildings in parks
  • The Sibley Parks & Recreation Department for paint for the Central Park Shelter House

Andy Frantz, Executive Director of Keep Iowa Beautiful, says 12,750 gallons of paint have been awarded for more than 1,400 community projects across Iowa over the 21 years the program has been in existence.
