Council To Hold Public Hearing At Wednesday Meeting

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will hold their regular meeting this Wednesday December 20th with a public hearing on consideration of the preliminary and final plat of the Floyd Industrial Park.  The Floyd industrial Park is the undeveloped area south of the Crossroads Industrial Park.  The proposed plat includes one, five acre lot, located just south of the current Fred’s Plumbing and Heating facility, and four smaller lots of about two acres each.  Then the council will set the date and time for three other public hearings.  One of those is on a proposed zoning ordinance amendment that clarifies the current wording dealing with the minimum size of single family dwelling units.

The council will also set the date and time for a public hearing on a budget amendment, and another for a public hearing on Bid Letting for the Wastewater Treatment Facility.  In other business, the council will consider approval of a contract for development with the SCDC  and hear staff reports for the month of November.

Wednesday’s meeting begins at 4:30 in the upper level of the Sheldon Community Services Center.
