Granville, Iowa — A first-term conservative state representative serving part of our area has announced his re-election bid.
Representative Zach Dieken will run for re-election in 2024.
Dieken says he is thankful for the honor and opportunity to represent O’Brien, Osceola, eastern Cherokee, and a small part of Buena Vista counties in Des Moines. Dieken says, “We have already taken a stand against the hoax that is the hazardous carbon capture pipeline, unapologetically stood for equal protection from conception for the pre-born, and have killed bills that would have led to more government intrusion or improper foreign influence in our state.”
Dieken added he will aim to be a force for what is good and right and pure amid Iowa’s lawmaking. He plans to “continue his leadership in defense of the preborn and the nuclear family” in his second term.
Dieken says, “There are more protections and there is more liberty for Iowans to be had. I humbly ask for your vote in June and again in November to allow me to advance what is just and what will lead to more freedom.”
Dieken serves on the Public Safety, Environmental Protection, and Agriculture committees.
