Ashton, Iowa — What happens when everything goes wrong in a play?
Off, Off Broadway, a community theater group, will be performing “The Play That Goes Wrong” at the Ashton Community Center from November 3rd until November 6th. Not only will there be a play, but dinner as well. 1015 Steak Company will be providing a meal, which each person will have a choice of prime rib, pork loin, or fish.
Director, King Hickman tells KIWA why he chose this play.
Hickman says at first he didn’t think they could ever do this play, has it required a second level and other things that could not be done with a small stage. Eventually a new edition of the play was released for high schools, which is the edition Off-Off Broadway will be performing, that fixed that problem.
Hickman tells us about the plot of “The Play That Goes Wrong”.
Ken Ven Huizen, Jacob Fox, Katie Campbell, Scott DeKok, Angie DeKok, Rachel Maggert, Paul Honermann, and Corey Elgersma are the actors that will be performing in “The Play That Goes Wrong”.
Hickman says people of all ages will enjoy this play.
