Doon, Iowa — It’s the end of an era in Doon. The Doon Christian School is closing, and students will need to go somewhere else to continue their education in the fall.
Megan Kelderman, who is the middle room teacher, the school secretary, and now the principal at the school tells us what happened.
She says that this year they had 16 students in the school, which is a K-8 school. However, there were no eighth graders this year.
She tells us that parents are looking for other options in the fall.
Kelderman asks you to keep the students and others involved in your prayers. She says the situation has been very difficult.
