Sibley, Iowa — He started as a temporary replacement, but became a fairly permanent fixture and has decided the time has come to retire from the position. Osceola County Economic Development Director Mike Earll made that announcement about his tenure recently. And he says his replacement has already been named.
Stephanie Neppl is the person that the OCEDC Board has hired to take his place. He says Neppl is an Estherville native with a “unique background as well as a wealth of experience that makes her an outstanding selection for this position.”
Earll will stay on board until the end of the year.
He tells us what he plans to do after retirement.
This is not the first time Earll has attempted to retire. His first career was teaching.
Earll spent over 30 years as the Sibley-Ocheyedan agriculture teacher and FFA advisor.
