Sioux Center, Iowa — A farm building was destroyed in a fire on Saturday, November 5th near Sioux Center.
According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, at 2:24 p.m., the Sioux Center Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire that occurred at 2767 400th Street, two and a half miles west of Sioux Center.
When they got there, authorities say the fire department discovered a 12’ by 20’ farm building engulfed by fire.
No injuries were reported.
The sheriff’s office says the building was a total loss with an estimated value of $15-thousand.
Trash being burned nearby is thought to have ignited the fire on the building.
The Sioux Center Fire Department reports that the Sioux Center Ambulance crew, Sioux Center Police Department, Ireton Fire Department and the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office assisted them.
