Feenstra Says He’s Proud Of Rock Valley

Rock Valley, Iowa — Congressman Randy Feenstra visited Rock Valley on Friday. The visit started with Feenstra and his entourage visiting a new housing development that was built in response to the housing issues that Rock Valley has had after many homes were destroyed by flooding. In fact, many homeowners in Rock Valley and other communities are still waiting for word on the home buyout program.

Feenstra says he knows that FEMA has not been the easiest for northwest Iowa communities to deal with.

The “OMB” that Feenstra refers to is the President’s “Office of Management and Budget.”

Feenstra says Rock Valley as a community has really pulled together

Feenstra says he’s proud of Rock Valley. He calls it the “manufacturing hub” of this area. He says Rock Valley entrepreneurs are willing to take risks. And you don’t find that everywhere.

And he says he won’t quit pulling for northwest Iowa either. In fact, he left by telling people that when he talked to Department of Homeland Security Director Kristi Noem, she often says to him, “Yeah, I’ve got it Randy! Rock Valley!”

Feenstra is running for Governor of Iowa and he had a number of other things to say as well. We’ll have more on that in future newscasts.
