Primghar, Iowa — The holiday season is busy with parties, shopping, and gathering with family and friends, but it’s also a very busy time of year for food banks.
Brenda Collier at the Upper Des Moines Opportunity Food Bank in Primghar says demand is very heavy at this time of year.
She says despite the increased donations this time of year, the UDMO Food Pantry can still use more.
Collier says there are a few items that the UDMO food bank is completely out of.
She says donations can be dropped off at the UDMO offices in Primghar or Sibley, from 8 am to 4 pm Monday, through Friday, or call ahead to set a specific time to drop off your donation.
