Free Breast Cancer Screenings Available To Those Who Can’t Afford Them

Sioux Center, Iowa — Thanks to a recent grant, lifesaving breast cancer screenings are available to northwest Iowa women who do not have the insurance or the money to pay for them.

Due to a grant of over $17,000 from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Siouxland Affiliate, Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center can provide free screenings and line up free mammograms for area women.

Promise’s Executive Director Nancy Dykstra tells us about it.

She says it’s geared toward both English and Spanish-speaking women.

She says they are glad they have received the grant for the sixth consecutive year.

If you have any questions, you can call Promise at 712-722-1700.
