Merrill, Iowa — A free supper, entertainment, information, and something fun for the kids. That describes the dairy open house scheduled for Wednesday, June 9th near Merrill.
To celebrate June Dairy Month, dairy farmers across western Iowa are inviting the public to the family-friendly event. Adam Maassen is the president of Western Iowa Dairy Alliance. He tells us about this Wednesday’s open house.
He says there will be lots of activities for kids as well.
He tells us the open house will be at Perry Creek Dairy at 20243 County Road K22 near Merrill. From Sheldon, the easiest way to get there is go down Highway 60, and stay on the expressway when it turns to Highway 75 at Le Mars, until you get to exit 118 for Highway 3. Then head west on Highway 3 for a little over 8 miles until you get to K22. The dairy is a little over two miles south of there.
For more information, Maassen says you can look up Western Iowa Dairy Alliance on Facebook, or visit them on the web at wiadairy.com.
