Free One-Hour Customer Service Workshop June 30 in Sibley

Sibley, Iowa — A one-hour customer service workshop for managers and front-line employees of businesses will be presented Thursday, June 30 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Sibley Golf Course. A complimentary lunch will be provided to all registered attendees.

The workshop will focus on best practices in attracting and retaining customers and is designed for front-line employees and managers who interact with the public, including retail, service, convenience stores, restaurants, attractions, and lodging.

Workshop participants will learn how to inspire customers to stop at their business, stay longer, and keep returning; and how to attract visitors to their own business and increase their customer base through the “Five Steps of Excellent Customer Service.”

The program was developed by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Economic Development staff at the request of Iowa Economic Development Authority and Iowa’s three tourism regions.

The workshop is free thanks to sponsorship from the Sibley Chamber and Osceola County Economic Development, but registration is required. To preregister, call the ISU Extension and Outreach Osceola County office at 712-754-3648 or email xosceola@iastate.edu.
