Sheldon, Iowa — There is a very special fundraiser garage sale going on this weekend in Sheldon, with the proceeds going to support a very worthwhile organization.
Every year the employees of Cain Ellsworth & Company in Sheldon get to nominate a charity for the firm’s employees to support with fundraisers throughout the year as a team building exercise. Trish Jones of Cain Ellsworth says this year’s charity is the Jackson Recovery Center in Sioux City. She says the Jackson Recovery Center is a facility that helps both children and adults who are dealing with addictions to alcohol or drugs, or who have contemplated suicide.
This Thursday through Saturday, the Cain Ellsworth staff will be holding a garage sale at 621 5th Street, near the city park, in Sheldon. Hours for the charity garage sale are 4:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday and Friday, and 8:00 to noon on Saturday.
Jones says the sale will feature a lot of household items, lots of Christmas stuff, shoes, books, and just about anything else you’d expect to find at a garage sale, with all proceeds going to the Jackson Recovery Center.
