George, Iowa — A new administrator will take the reigns of the George/Little Rock Mustangs in July.
Current George/Little Rock Superintendent Steve Barber is resigning to become the superintendent of the Atlantic School District, so someone needed to be found to replace Mr. Barber at GLR.
After working with Douma Consulting Services and interviewing three final candidates, the George/Little Rock Board of Education has made a selection. Barber tells us about their decision.
Barber tells us how the interview process was set up.
We asked Mr. Barber if he had any advice for Mr. Eyerly.
Barber says the board and administration are happy with the job that Douma Consulting did for them.
Barber says he’s looking forward to his new position, but he’s glad for the time he got to spend at George-Little Rock.
Mr. Barber says he’ll work with Mr. Eyerly to help the transition process in any way he can. Barber’s last day is June 30th, and Eyerly takes over on July 1st.
