Spencer, Iowa — Goldstar Amusements will be back on the midway for this year’s Clay County Fair powered by SMU.
Several newly renovated rides will be featured this year, along with a new one, “The Insanity 360”. It’s described as an intense ride that flies 70 feet into the air and spins.
Advance carnival wristbands for the midway are available at claycountyfair.com or the Events Center Box Office.
Y100 Kids Day at the fair will be Friday, September 15th. Y100 is one of our fellow Community First Broadcasting stations in Spencer.
This marks the 12th year for Goldstar Amusements to be at the Midway of the Clay County Fair.
Fair officials are also telling us this year’s fair will feature a new amenity for those with autism and other conditions who simply need a break while attending the event. Spencer Hospital, the Spencer Hospital Foundation and the Clay County Fair have teamed up to provide a sensory room.
The Clay County Fair kicks off Saturday and runs through September 17th.
