Sutherland, Iowa — There’s a grand opening planned for some new cabins in northwest Iowa. But there’s a twist. These cabins, at Dog Creek Park near Sutherland, are shaped like grain bins.
O’Brien County Naturalist Charlene Elyea tells us about it.
Tours will be available, and she says to remember to check out the view from the balcony. The bins are located at Dog Creek Park, 4901 Warbler Avenue. That’s a half mile south of Highway 10 on M12. She says take the entrance on the south side of the lake and follow the drive up the hill and along the ridge.
She tells us where the idea came from for the cabins.
Elyea says information will be available on how to rent the cabins. Reservations can be made for one calendar year in advance.
