Northwest Iowa — The West Sioux Community School District is looking for a new superintendent to start July 1st, 2026.
That’s because their current superintendent is approaching retirement in the next few years and wants to slow down a little. We talked to Steve Grond, who is currently the shared superintendent of both West Sioux and Boyden-Hull. He tells us what led up to his decision.
Grond tells us about the process to find his replacement at West Sioux.
He says West Sioux is a great district.
Grond is 61. He says he’ll probably retire fully, even as Boyden-Hull’s superintendent, within the next two to four years.
