Sheldon, Iowa — There was no school in the Sheldon Community School District Monday, and since the kids were off for the day, the Sheldon Public Library came up with a fun event for teens from 5th to 8th grade.
Library staff created an “escape room” game, and centered it around the 20th Anniversary of the first Harry Potter book. Sheldon Public Library Director Nicole Morgan says the kids had themed puzzles to solve to escape from the room.
Morgan tells us about the plot of the Harry Potter Escape Room game.
She tells us the students had to solve a series of problems that led them to the “magic word” that enabled them to get out of the room. Morgan says about twenty kids took part in the game.
