Heavy Snow Predicted For Northwest Iowa And It’ll Stick Around A While

Northwest Iowa — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the northwest quarter of the state.

That’s Todd Heitkamp, the chief meteorologist at the National Weather Service office in Sioux Falls. He expects the first snowflakes to fly by mid-morning.

Forecasters say as much as NINE inches of snow could fall in some areas.

Heitkamp says a second storm will move into the area Thursday night and probably stick around until Saturday.

Heitkamp says the heaviest snowfall will probably falls between 3:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon through 11 o’clock Tuesday
