Sheldon, Iowa — What was once an annual event before COVID hit — is back full-strength in Sheldon after a hiatus.
Holiday Jam with the Hegg Brothers is a fundraiser for Sanford Sheldon’s foundation. This year they’ll be at the Sheldon Community High School. The musical showcase is on December 11 at 6 p.m. Jon Hegg with the Hegg Brothers tells us they’re happy to be coming back to Sheldon.
Hegg says the two-hour show will feature holiday classics and some contemporary new arrangements along with a few feature stories. We asked him if they play mostly jazz or rock, or something else…
He tells us the event includes male and female vocalists, two keyboardists, guitars, percussion, drums, upright bass, and horns.
The holiday event is a fundraiser for the Northwest Iowa Health Center (NIHC) Foundation, which supports Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. Recent donations from the NIHC Foundation include $500,000 for the current clinic expansion and scholarships for current employees to further their education. Tickets for the show are $20.
