Sheldon, Iowa — The fifth production of the Sheldon High School Summer Theatre season opens tonight in the Sheldon High School Auditorium. Since this week’s production is a children’s show, the curtain will rise tonight and tomorrow night at 7:00, and Saturday’s performance will be a 2:00 matinee.
This week’s production will be the children’s play, How I Became A Pirate. Director Logan Merley says directing this production has been a lot of fun.
Devin Wolthuizen plays the Pirate Captain in How I Became A Pirate, and talks about his character.
Director Merley gives us a little insight into the show’s plot.
Merley, who is a Sheldon alum, says he’s acted in past productions, and he says directing is definitely more of a challenge.
He says this week’s children’s play, How I Became A Pirate will be fun for children of all ages.
