Jansen To Retire From Juvenile Court Services

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man who has been working with the juvenile justice system for more than three decades is about to retire.

Juvenile Court Services Officer Ron Jansen says he’s spent the past 31 and one-half years trying to help northwest Iowa kids and families better themselves.

Jansen says the earlier the system intervenes with juvenile offenders, the better the results.

After spending more than 31-years working with kids and their families, Jansen says he’s decided it’s time to spend more time with his own family and do some of the things he wants to do.

Jansen says he’s thankful for the support he’s received from his family throughout his career, as well as the relationships he’s built along the way.

There will be a Retirement Open House honoring Jansen this Friday (February 24) afternoon from 1:00 until 3:30 in the lower level of the Sheldon Community Services Center. Everyone is invited to come out and wish Ron well as he heads into retirement.
