Primghar, Iowa — Recently, O’Brien County Economic Development received a $10,000 Iowa Tourism Grant.
The local match is $2500. Kiana Johnson is the Executive Director of O’Brien County Economic Development. She gives us some background about the project.
That was all last year. Now, Johnson says the next step is to do something with what the bloggers gave them.
She says they hope to customize the information and work with some programmers.
She says the unique idea came from a nearby resident who is, himself, a travel blogger. Johnson says people often research travel ideas and places to live online so they thought it was a great idea and a great way to combat the false notion that there is “nothing to do here.” She says they hope everyone will take the opportunity to explore O’Brien County.
