Kids To Get Hands-On With Healthcare At Free “Scrubs Camp” At NCC

Sheldon, Iowa — If you’re in junior high or high school and are considering a career in the medical field, there’s an opportunity coming up for you at Northwest Iowa Community College in Sheldon.

Called “Scrubs Camp,” the free event is coming up on June 28th, and those interested are encouraged to sign up soon. Kevin Miller, NCC’s Emergency Services Education Coordinator tells us about the camp.

He tells us how they’re doing that.

Miller tells us the kind of student Scrubs Camp is aimed at.

He says there will also be a chance to connect with other parts of the healthcare field.

Miller says the main idea of the Scrubs Camp is to raise awareness about what opportunities are available.

If you just finished 7th through 12th grade, you can register at nwicc.edu/scrubs-camp. And you’re encouraged to do that soon as space is limited.
