KIWA To Sponsor Forum For Republican 4th District Congress Candidates

Northwest Iowa – Five Republicans, including incumbent 4th District U.S. Congressman Steve King, will be competing in the June 2, 2020 primary election for the right to face a Democrat challenger next November.

The five individuals who have announced their candidacy are: Incumbent Steve King of Kiron; State Senator Randy Feenstra of Hull; Woodbury County Supervisor Jeremy Taylor of Sioux City; former Irwin Mayor Bret Richards; and Arnolds Park businessman Steve Reeder.

KIWA Radio will sponsor a forum for candidates seeking the Republican nomination for 4th District U.S. House of Representatives, Thursday January 23, 2020 from 7:00 to 9:30 P.M. The forum will be held at the Crossroads Pavilion Event Center, 301 34th Avenue in Sheldon, Iowa. The public is invited to attend.

The first half of the forum will consist of questions posed by the selected 4th District media panelists, with the second half consisting of written questions submitted by constituents of Iowa’s 4th District. There will be a fifteen-minute break between halves.

KIWA Radio plans on broadcasting the forum.

In addition to the January Republican Candidates’ Forum, KIWA, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, plans to hold a debate between the Republican primary winner, and the Democrat candidate after the primary election, and before the November 2020 general election.

Questions may be directed to Forum Director Tom Traughber at 712-324-2597, or by email at tom@kiwaradio.com.
