Knights Of Columbus Hold Spelling Bee

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Knights of Columbus held their annual spelling bee on Saturday, February 1, at the Wansink Center on the VNU Campus.  

The following students finished 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd in their respective grades:

4^th Grade
1^st        Raylee Lindgren
2^nd       Jack Brink
3^rd        Iris Hollenbeck

5^th Grade
1^st        Theresa Nilles

7^th Grade
1^st        Douglas Nilles

Those finishing 1^st and 2^nd moved onto the Knights of Columbus Regional Spelling Bee, which was be held at the Wansink Center on the VNU Campus on Sunday, February 23 at 1:00.

On Feb 23, Douglas Nilles finished first in 7^th grade and will move onto the KC State Spelling Bee on March 8, which will be held at 2 pm in Ames.  Theresa Nilles finished third in 5^th grade and is an alternate if the 1^st and 2^nd place winners are not able to make it.
