Sheldon, Iowa — Thanks to some generous late donations, the 2016 Sheldon United Fund has surpassed the goal.
The 2016 goal was $31,000. After the late donations, the United Fund finished at $32,594. That’s $1,594 over the goal and an even $2500 more than the $30,094 reported at the end of the year.
The United Fund will be assisting 25 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year. Cindy Runger with the United Fund says, “Thank you very much to the community for their generous support.” She says that the board greatly appreciates it.
