Orange City, Iowa — An Orange City man and a Sioux Center woman were taken to the hospital after an accident on Friday, May 15th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that about 6:55 AM, 23-year-old Jacob Rolf of Orange City was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado pickup westbound on 420th Street, two miles northwest of Orange City. They report that 25-year-old Tony Stoker of Orange City was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup northbound on Indian Avenue. The two met in the intersection where Stoker struck Rolf.
The Orange City Ambulance transported Rolf and a passenger in Stoker’s vehicle, 20-year-old Kaitlyn Huisman of Sioux Center, to the Orange City Health System Hospital.
They say Rolf’s pickup sustained about $20,000 in damages. Stoker’s pickup sustained an estimated $15,000 in damages.
The Sheriff’s Office reports that Stoker was cited on a charge of failure to yield the right of way to a vehicle on the right.
