Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon Celebration Days were this past weekend, and we had a chance to talk to Shanelle Matus about it. Matus is a former chamber director at the SCDC, is the mother of current Chamber Director Trista Kavanagh, and helps out at the chamber. Kavanagh was not available, so Matus stepped in to talk to us.
She tells us they were very pleased with how Celebration Days turned out this year.
She tells us there was also a community theatre performance that night. Matus tells us the community worship service went well at the RiseFest grounds.
According to Matus, the parade was a huge success with over 100 entries. Matus says it was “a fabulous weekend,” and she thanks all the sponsors who made the fun weekend possible.
