According to records kept for the National Weather Service by KIWA Radio, The warmest temperature in May was 86-degrees, which was recorded on May 2nd. This tied May, 2019’s warmest temperature of 86, which was recorded on May 17th of 2019. This year’s temperature of 86 is, however, 14-degrees warmer than the AVERAGE high, 40-degrees warmer than the coolest high temperature of the month, 46-degrees, which was recorded on May, 11th
We had two days in May this year tie for the coldest temperature. A low of 32-degrees was recorded on both May 8th and May 9th. The AVERAGE low temperature for May, 2020 was 46-degrees, 2-degrees warmer than the average low for May, 2019.
In the category of precipitation, a total of 4.49-inches of moisture was recorded during the month, which is 1.12″ above the precipitation received in a normal May.
