Sheldon, Iowa — With the final semi-truck load of relief supplies headed for Texas, Sheldon (IA) Mayor Katricia Meendering took time to thank some of the people who were instrumental in making the Sheldon IA 4 Sheldon TX campaign a huge success.
Meendering began by thanking the people most involved with the first truck load, Ryan Myers and Rick Holtrop.
She went on to thank Walt Pruiksma for coming up with the idea.
Meendering was generous with her thanks to Jim Talsma of JT Trucking in Sheldon, for his part in the Sheldon 4 Sheldon campaign.
The Mayor expressed her gratitude for the driver and company who took the second load, as well as the local grocery stores who offered their customers the chance to buy relief supplies at cost, and have them put on the truck that left Thursday morning.
Mayor Meendering also thanks the entire Sheldon IA community for coming together in such a meaningful way, to support the students and residents of Sheldon, Texas.
