Hartley and Sanborn, Iowa — Voters in the Hartley-Melvin Sanborn School District will go to the polls on Tuesday, September 13th, to decide the fate of a $16.25 million bond for building updates, renovations, and additions.
A similar bond issue was defeated by voters in March of 2014. This time the bond does not include an auditorium, according to April Hengeveld, who is the chair of the bond committee.
School officials say two more informational meetings are scheduled. One of them is Wednesday, August 24th at 7 p.m. at the HMS High School gym in Hartley. The other is Thursday, August 25th, also at 7 p.m. at the HMS Middle School gym in Sanborn.
