Northwest Iowa — Pancake breakfasts are a Memorial Day tradition here in northwest Iowa, and this year is no different. Pancake breakfasts will be held in multiple communities around the KIWA listening area Monday.
In Sheldon, the First CRC Young People will be holding a Memorial Day Pancake Breakfast from 6:30 – 9:30 a.m. Monday. This event will be held at the Sheldon Christian School. A freewill donation will be accepted, with proceeds going to the First CRC Young People.
In Sanborn, there will be a FREE community pancake breakfast Monday morning, at the Community Center in downtown Sanborn, hosted by Cornerstone United Reformed Church. All Sanborn community members are invited to come enjoy food and community! That free pancake breakfast in Sanborn will be serving 7:00 A.M. until 9:00 A.M. Monday.
In Hull the American Reformed Youth Group is hosting a pancake breakfast, serving Monday morning from 7 until 10 at the American Reformed Church, which is located at 911 – 1st Street in Hull. A freewill donation will be accepted, with proceeds going for Power Connection and Rocky Mountain High.
In Ashton, even though they’re not having a pancake breakfast, they are planning a noon meal Monday. The Ashton Town and Country Committee will serve a Pork Loin meal at the Community Center from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Free will offering will be accepted, and all are welcome.
