Mobile Fundraiser And Dinner To Help Raise Money For Cameron Mouw

George, Iowa — Two fundraisers are planned in George this Saturday (August 25th). Both of them are to help a little boy with some medical issues.

According to his mother, 2-year-old Cameron Mouw of George has lupus and has had to undergo dialysis. The Mayo Clinic says lupus is a systemic autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Inflammation caused by lupus can affect many different body systems. The National Resource Center on Lupus says it is “a devastating and life-changing disease that currently has no cure.”

To help his family with mounting medical expenses, the Last Call Saloon in George will be hosting a mobile fundraising run. A hashtag has been set up for Mouw. It’s “#camstrong.”

All proceeds from the event will go to help his family with his medical expenses.

All vehicles are welcome at the event. Registration runs from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Cost is $20 per person.

Following the event, the Last Call will be having a freewill-donation pork loin dinner, also to help Cameron’s family with his medical expenses.
