Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible mainly west of I-29 this morning, then spread east across the region this afternoon. More widespread showers with embedded storms will develop later this afternoon into the evening, with heavy rainfall possible through the overnight hours. Showers will become scattered on Friday with the heavy rain threat ending. Severe weather is unlikely, but isolated strong storms with small hail will be possible, mainly south of I-90. Rainfall amounts of over 1 inch will be possible for much of the region.
