Northwest Iowa – For the second time in a week northwest Iowa is digging out from a winter storm. Total snowfall with this most recent system varied widely from place to place, but the high winds accompanying the snow caused school closings all across northwest Iowa.
And with the passing of this system, National Weather Service Meteorologist Janice Maldonado from the Sioux Falls Weather Station says we’re not done quite yet.
Maldonado says there is snow and cold temperatures forecast throughout this week.
She says that snowfall amounts should be light over the next couple of days, but beyond that it’s too early to predict how much snow will fall.
It seems that Mother Nature isn’t done having her fun just quite yet. And, it would seem, Punxsatawney Phil lied when he predicted an early spring.
